Includes the boroughs of Aleutians East, Bristol Bay, Denali, Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak Island, Lake and Peninsula, North Slope, and Northwest Arctic, and the census areas of Aleutians West, Bethel, Dillingham, Nome, Southeast Fairbanks, Valdez-Cordova, Wade Hampton and Yukon-Koyukuk. Prior to the May 2005 estimates, these boroughs and census areas were included in either the Railbelt or the Western regions. |
