Licensing Requirements:
Initial License:
Applicants who work commercially with hazardous paints must complete a 16-hour
initial training course through a State approved training provider prior to
completing an application and paying of fees. If the application is made through
the mail, a head and shoulders photo (no smaller than 2" x 2" in size) must also
be enclosed. License renewal requires an eight-hour renewal course conducted by
a state approved training provider. All paperwork must be received within 30
days of course completion or you are required to retake the course. Work may not
be performed with an expired license.
Renewal:
Require attendance of at least an 8 hour refresher course conducted by an
approved provider.
