Eligible Training Providers in Alaska
Description: The Eligible Training Providers
for the State of Alaska have certain criteria to follow under the Workforce
Investment Act. Information about this program and an application are
on this page.
The Eligible Training Provider (ETP) list includes all programs submitted
for approval by training providers to receive funds under the Workforce
Investment Act (Public Law 105-220) Tile I-B Individual Training Accounts.
Each program is listed, along with the program’s performance relative
to criteria established by the Alaska Workforce Investment Board.
If a program meets these performance criteria, then clients may be sent
to those programs for training. Although some programs are exempt from
meeting minimum performance criteria, most occupational training programs
requiring 80 or more hours of training or that lead to a certificate or
degree must meet minimum standards in order for training program clients
to be sent to those programs.
The ETP list provides information not only on specific performance criteria,
but also a detailed program description, program length, cost and provider
contact information. The ETP list is useful not only for individuals using
federal dollars for training, but for all those seeking education and
training in Alaska.
