This is a nice day use area, a beautiful historic
park with totem poles, a clan house and good loop trail from which
to view them. There is a nice bookstore with a 1” lip. It serves
coffee, tea and hot chocolate and has good historical and informative
information.
The Ketchikan District Alaska State Parks Headquarters is located
here. It has a ramp, and a pay phone with the following specifications:
coin slot 55” high, 30” long cord, 27” wide door.
This historic park is scheduled for a major facelift starting October
1st, to be complete by next summer. This should greatly enhance
the accessible features. |
